2. Share your Story
Are you or someone you know a neuroendocrine patient? Talk about it. Share your personal experience. It will be posted online so that others can benefit from what you’ve been through.
3. Join a Support Group or Start One
One of the aims of CNETS is to provide emotional and educational support to those suffering from neuroendocrine cancers. Sharing with other NET patients is a great way to start.
4. Become a Support Group Leader
We are always on the lookout for individuals who want to lead a support group in their region. We are flexible in defining the role and the warm, caring souls who take on this role should find it easy and fulfilling. A Group Leader is a person who takes the lead in arranging round-table gatherings of patients and is also available for ad hoc one-on-one meetings, phone calls, or emails with NET patients or their family members or friends as and when it is mutually convenient and needed.
A Group Leader will also be a point of contact for other groups in Canada as well as CNETS a itself. In his/her area, the Group Leader may, either personally or through others, advance the neuroendocrine cancer awareness mission among health professionals and institutions.
