Somatuline (lanreotide) Access in Manitoba & Alberta

As we advised previously, in July of this year the Manitoba government issued a bulletin http://www.gov.mb.ca/health/mdbif/…/bulletins/bulletin93.pdf that indicated a change in the listing for Somatuline (from 1 to 3 and no access for NET patients in Manitoba). While CNETS Canada did not get a satisfactory response from the Assistant Deputy Minister Provincial Policy and Programs Division on the reason for the change, we have learned recently that a reversal of this decision is forthcoming.   If there are any Manitoba patients facing access issues we would like to hear from you.   Please contact Jackie.herman@cnetscanada.org

Somatuline is currently not covered for NETs in Alberta.  Any Albertan patients who are experiencing issues gaining access to Somatuline please reach out to Jackie.herman@cnetscanada.org
